This past Friday, Jon and I hosted our first BiteSized cocktail event at Blue Angel Wines, an organic wine store in Brooklyn. We served some items from previous posts: gravlax with cucumber, radish and citrus vinaigrette, shiitake leek quiche with a poached shiitake Dijon vinaigrette, and roasted tomato soup with parmesan croutons.
We also served two items that were spins on previous BiteSized recipes – duck confit with a blackberry raspberry jam on jalapeno cornbread, and pulled pork with homemade barbecue sauce and coleslaw on brioche.
The food turned out to be a great success and so did the evening. We had a great turnout and hope to plan another event soon.
